The Promptory connector for Claude

The connector answers questions from The Promptory's public catalog. It doesn't need an account, and it doesn't store what you ask.

This policy covers the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://thepromptory.com/mcp ("the connector"), run by The Promptory, Frisco, Texas. It explains what happens to information when Claude uses the connector on your behalf. Our website has its own privacy policy for everything else on thepromptory.com.

What the connector receives

When you ask Claude something that needs The Promptory, Claude sends the connector only what the tool needs:

• Find a starter stack: a business type (for example "healthcare practice") and, if provided, a short description of what costs the business the most time.
• Get stack details: the name of a stack.
• Search reviewed AI tools: a search phrase, such as "meeting notes".
• Book a discovery call: optionally, the name of a stack.

The connector doesn't receive your name, email address, account details, files or the rest of your conversation with Claude. It has no sign-in and sets no cookies. Please don't include personal, patient or client details in your questions; the connector doesn't need them.

Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information with each request, such as the IP address it came from and the time.

How it's used

The connector uses what it receives only to answer that request, by looking it up in The Promptory's catalog of starter stacks and reviewed tools. We don't use it for advertising, we don't build profiles, and we don't sell it.

Storage and retention

The connector doesn't save your questions or its answers. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to run and secure the service; these can include the time, the tool used and error messages, and are deleted on Netlify's schedule. We use these logs only to fix problems and prevent abuse.

Sharing with third parties

• Netlify hosts the connector and processes requests as our service provider.
• Anthropic runs Claude, which sends requests to the connector. Anthropic's handling of your conversations is covered by Anthropic's own privacy policy.

We don't share connector requests with anyone else, and the connector doesn't call other AI services.

Links in answers

Answers can include links to review pages on thepromptory.com and to The Promptory's Stack Finder. Those pages are covered by our website privacy policy and may contain affiliate links.

Children

The connector is meant for business owners and isn't directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
