Add it to Claude

Use this server address:

https://thepromptory.com/mcp

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it The Promptory and paste the address above.
Under Authentication, choose No sign in, then click Add.
Optional: set the read-only tools to Always allow so Claude doesn't ask each time.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors first, and members then connect it. Once The Promptory appears in Claude's connector directory, you can add it from there instead.

What it can do

The connector gives Claude four tools. None of them changes anything or needs your data.

Find a starter stack

Matches your business to one of six starter stacks and suggests the step to start with, based on what costs you the most time.

Tool 2

Get stack details

Shows a full stack: who it's for, all three steps, each tool with its published price, the setup fee, timeline and built-in safeguard.

Tool 3

Search reviewed AI tools

Searches The Promptory's directory of reviewed AI tools by task or category, with a link to each review.

Try: "What AI tools does The Promptory recommend for meeting notes?"

Tool 4

Book a discovery call

Gives contact details and what a setup call covers, if you'd like The Promptory to build a stack with you.

Troubleshooting

Claude doesn't use the connector: mention The Promptory in your question, and check the connector is turned on for the chat.
"Couldn't connect": check the address is exactly https://thepromptory.com/mcp and that Authentication is set to No sign in.
